GCA REGULATIONS FOR THE ANGOLAN DIVISION
G.1 - The Angola Division is participating in the GCA (Guest Controller Approval) program which is in accordance with R&R T.2. Any user not being a member of the AO Division, who wants to control any ATC position in the AO Division, has to apply for a GCA checkout.
G.2 - GCA Requirements:
G.2.1 - Maintain an active IVAO account
G.2.2 - Have a clean Suspension history;
G.2.3 - Be a member of IVAO for at least six months;
G.2.4 - Hold at least Aerodrome Controller (ADC) rating;
G.2.5 - Cannot hold more than three (3) GCA’s of other Divisions.
G.3 - English is the primary language used for operational purposes within the Luanda FIR. Although not mandatory, fluency in Portuguese is highly recommended (see IR.2.1.3).
G.4.1 - During the application process, we will collect and store your personal email address in order to have the appropriate communications during and after the application process.
G.5 - Members deciding to leave the Angola Division to transfer to another division will not be eligible for a GCA in the first 12 months after the division change. The HQ of Division can make exceptions to this rule, analyzing case by case.
G.6 - GCA will be revoked without prior notice in the following cases:
G.6.1 - Behavioural troubles, including suspensions, sandbanging and violation of any IVAO R&R (https://doc.ivao.aero);
G.6.2 - Becomes an inactive IVAO user (inactive account);
G.6.3 - Do not connect on any Angolan ATC Positions for at least 4 hours per month without providing a good reason.
G.6.4 - Any other reason at discretion of Angolan Headquarters (AO-DIR / AO-ADIR) and Angolan Training Coordinators (AO-TC / AO-TAC).
G.7 - When such a revoke occurs, the member will be ineligible for a Angola GCA for twelve (12) months after GCA revoking.
G.8 - GCA holders can request the removal of AO GCA at any time by sending an email.
G.8.1 - The member will be ineligible for a Angola GCA for twelve (12) months after GCA removal request.
G.9 - The Angolan Headquarters (AO-DIR / AO-ADIR) and Angolan Training Coordinators (AO-TC / AO-TAC) reserves the right to admission or no for any reason, without any previous communication.
G.10 - The Angolan Training Coordinators and Angolan Headquarters may decide to make an exception of any regulation if needed.
